The Challenge

HR teams were buried under repetitive requests for leave, documents, policy questions, onboarding tasks, and employee updates. Existing tools solved fragments of the workflow but did not create a unified employee experience.

Executives needed better workforce visibility while HR teams needed automation that did not feel impersonal. Customers also required configurable policies across regions and business units.

DigiteraX was asked to build a scalable HRMS product that could serve hundreds of companies, support complex permissions, and feel simple for every employee.

How We Solved It

The Solution

We built a modular HR portal covering employee profiles, leave, attendance, onboarding, document management, performance cycles, approvals, and analytics. The platform supports tenant-specific policies without forking the product.

The employee self-service experience was designed for speed: fewer clicks, clear statuses, searchable policies, and mobile-friendly flows. HR administrators gained configurable workflows, reporting, and audit controls.

Employee Self-Service

Leave, documents, profile updates, approvals, and policy discovery in one portal.

Configurable HR Workflows

Policy engines support company-specific leave, approval, and onboarding rules.

People Analytics

Dashboards for attrition, attendance, hiring, engagement, and operational workload.

Challenges & Lessons

Overcoming Obstacles

Policy Complexity

Every company had different leave and approval rules.

Built a flexible policy engine and admin UI.

Enterprise SaaS needs configuration before customization.

Permission Depth

Managers, HR, employees, and admins needed different visibility.

Modeled roles, scopes, and audit trails explicitly.

Permissions are product features, not backend details.

Adoption

Employees would not use a slow portal for everyday requests.

Reduced task flows and optimized mobile layouts.

Internal tools still need consumer-grade ergonomics.
